My Deepest Secret, is an original LINE webtoon series created and illustrated by Hanza Art. The pilot episode was released on April 22, 2019, with its first season running until December 30, 2019. Synposis[]

My Deepest Secret documents the life of Emma Wilson, a young college student with a troubled past, as she explores a seemingly innocent romance with Elios, a mysterious, handsome boy with questionable morals. As she experiences newfound love, a series of strange events involving scandals, assaults, and death ensue. Emma soon realizes that her life is not so simple, especially when Yohan Lee, a charming, intelligent amateur detective digs up events from her past that she worked so hard to bury.

Reception[]

The release of episodes 68 and 69 sparked a wave of controversy over social media platforms as readers from all around the world expressed their opinions on the series's portrayal of Disassociative Identity Disorder (DID).[2] Hanza Art released an official statement on their Instagram account, reminding readers that the series is a fictional work that takes creative liberties with plot points and does not necessarily depict scientifically-accurate disorders.[3]
